Staff AccountantThis position is responsible for preparing financial statements for the various entities of the organization and for ensuring that the amounts and disclosures provided in the statements are accurate and can be supported. The position also provides accounting compliance with State and Federal laws and requirements in the production of financial reports for the Club.What You'll Do:Perform monthly account reconciliations timely and accurately. Investigate and resolve reconciling items timely to ensure accuracy of accounting data.Prepare and understand recurring and non-recurring journal entries. Research and resolve reporting errors or discrepancies timely.Perform other month end duties and assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements, reports, and other data required on a timely basis.Perform monthly analysis of expenses and revenue variances to budget. Work cross-functionally with other employees to gain understanding of business and data requirements to ensure general ledger balances are correct, transactions are classified properly and reported accurately.Identify and document processes and procedures and implement processes that create efficiencies and improve accuracy.Provide support and guidance to Accounting Specialists on the team. Provide accounting guidance to other departments relating to the execution of company business. Research and reconcile accounting issues for management and other departments. Create ad hoc reports as needed.What You'll Need:Bachelor's degree in accounting or business-related field required.3+ years Financial Accounting Preferred.Professional communication skills required, both written and oral.Proficiency in using Microsoft Office software required, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Access.
